The documents are exposed via Samba to all the windows clients. I love the having the btrfs snapshots accessible via the previous versions screen in windows explorer. I've been collecting any and all files from the various old hard drives and computers lying around the place. Currently used laptops have been set to sync their user folders to the pi also, backing up their data. Sounds great, right? Sure, but, I feel like there's a growing problem. It's one thing to have all the data there, but it's impossible to find something unless I already know where I stored it. It's impossible to search the snapshots, too so what's the point of having them if you don't know where to find that file in which you did your work three months ago but can't find anymore? Windows search is a travesty on network drives - on 10 it feels like they've made it worse than the search feature in 7. I guess I'm looking for something like Google but for my data drive.
